Our Story

From Bathinda, with love

Pehrawameans the complete look β€” the full traditional outfit. That's what we stand for. Not just a piece of clothing, but the entire heritage experience of dressing in traditional Punjabi wear.

Founded by Sukhpreet Singh, Pehrawa Boutique was born from a simple realization: Punjabi families in the diaspora β€” Canada, the USA, the UK, Australia β€” struggle to find authentic, high-quality traditional wear for their children. Mass-produced options lack the soul of handcrafted embroidery. And the few boutiques that exist charge a premium without delivering on quality.

Handcrafted in Bathinda

Every single Pehrawa is handcrafted by our team of master artisans in Bathinda, Punjab. This is the heartland of Punjabi embroidery β€” where the craft has been passed down through generations.

Our signature Morni Chandra (peacock-inspired) embroidery is done entirely by hand, stitch by stitch. We use premium Giza Cottonfor the fabric β€” soft, breathable, and built to last. Each outfit is custom-stitched to your exact measurements, because every child (and every adult) deserves a perfect fit.

The Team

Our production is overseen by Mom (production supervisor) along with our senior and junior tailors in Bathinda. Quality control happens at every stage β€” from fabric selection to final stitching to packaging.

Veerpal handles overseas sales and customer care from Brampton, Ontario. She's your point of contact for sizing questions, order updates, and anything else you need.

Why β€œPehrawa”?

In Punjabi, pehrawarefers to the complete traditional outfit β€” not just the kurta, but the entire look. The turban (pagg), the footwear (jutti), the necklace (kaintha) β€” everything together.

That's our philosophy. We don't just sell individual pieces. Our signature Complete Pehrawapackage gives you everything you need for the perfect traditional look, at a price that's better than buying each piece separately.

Our Mission

To make authentic, handcrafted Punjabi traditional wear accessible to families everywhere β€” keeping the art of heritage embroidery alive while making it easy for the diaspora to celebrate their culture.

β€œWe don't just make clothes. We make heritage wearable.”
